Business Cards - Still Important!

A lot of businesses forget some of the cardinal rules of running their business.  You must have business cards, no matter what size you're business is running at.

Cards are great for when you are out and socializing.  I know I keep the majority of the cards I receive. If I'm going to buy something I usually take a spin through my cards to see if anyone can help me.  After all, people like doing business with people they know.

The reason I'm so adamant about business cards is there's a paving company that I occasionally do some work for.  They never ever have cards made.  When I work with them I am amazed at how many people ask them for a card and they don't have one.  Customers ask for them about once an outing.  Who knows what sales could have been pushed in, if only they had made up some cards.

If you are at a "meet and greet" or even a business meeting it is far easier for everyone to remember who was there by reviewing their business cards after.  If you do not have a card then you will not be remembered.

It is also a professional thing.  For such a low price it can give you some serious credibility to the seriousness of the business you're running.

Business Cards - Where To Get Them

Business cards are relatively cheap these days.  I use Vista Print myself. Usually if you go to Google and type business cards you will see various sites offering deals.  The most important part of the card is the name and contact information.  This is after all the information you are trying to convey.

Business Card - Design

Don't put too much clutter on your business card.  Make it clear and simple.  What do you offer people? Relay it on your business cards.  Also people remember the most creative cards but they can also make you look a little cheesy. Try and find the right mix.

Use For FHTM

Always keep cards with you and when people ask you what you do, just pass them a card and tell them if they want to start making some good money, to go give you a call as soon as possible.  It gives your business some credibility.  You could also put appointment dates on the back and set up a meeting to go over the business.
